In 2019 the government pledged a multi-million-pound rebuild of Whipps Cross Hospital.
Since then, the hospital has suffered through a pandemic, flooding, power cuts, and even a collapsed ceiling adding to the already difficult conditions caused by the ageing condition of the buildings.
For the hard work and sacrifice of our NHS heroes in this difficult time, the government now admit that no money has been made available and construction work cannot start until 2025 at the earliest - an unacceptable delay.
That's why Waltham Forest Liberal Democrats have launched a campaign to make Whipps Cross fit for the future. We are demanding the government take immediate action so that work can begin to upgrade the hospital and provide our community with the quality healthcare it deserves.
