Expansion of City Airport

Many Waltham Forest residents know the frustration of hearing airplanes from London City Airport from 6am till past 10pm. 

For those living under the flight path, not only does it cause stress and affect health, it adds to London's already polluted skies and studies have shown that levels of noise exposure from flights have been linked to an up-to two month delay in the development of primary school children.^(source)

City Airport want to extend their operating hours, including extending operating hours on a Saturday as late as 10pm, resulting in as-many-as 45 flights per hour on Saturday afternoons, and doubling the number of flights before 7am on weekdays.

This is encouraging more flights and emissions at a time when we should be reducing our carbon footprint and curbing air travel.
