Stop Sewage Dumping

Water companies pumped sewage into our rivers and seas more than 1 million times over the past three years.

The Conservative Government has repeatedly failed to hold water companies to account - indeed in December 2023 they blocked Lib Dem plans for compensation for swimmers who get sick from sewage.

Water companies need to clean up their own mess and stop dumping sewage in our water.

The Liberal Democrats are campaigning to replace Thames Water with a new Public Benefit Company, including a requirement to appoint local residents and environmental experts to its board. If you agree with us, please add your voice to our petition.
