Meet Alan Jones

I’m Alan Jones, a member of the Higham Hill Focus team and Data Officer for the local party with responsibility for managing local campaign data. Born in East London, I moved to Waltham Forest over 20 years ago and have been living in Walthamstow since 2008. Now retired, I have worked in engineering, service and retail industries.

Having ‘seen the light’ and started to vote Liberal Democrat in a few elections, I joined the party in 2020, and have been campaigning since 2024. I want us to progress in being able to hold national and local government to account with an emphasis on making sure that Waltham Forest has the housing, transport, medical and education services and facilities to support families in making it a prosperous and successful borough.

When not campaigning I volunteer for a homelessness charity. Nationally and internationally I am passionate about moving our country towards electoral reform and actively give support to Ukraine in any way I can.
