Meet Paul Brocklehurst

I'm Paul and I've lived in East London for the last 26 years. I've been a member of the Liberal Democrats since 2010. I joined because after years of being a floating voter I felt that the party really aligned with my values and, as society feels like it has become increasingly fractured since then, I believe the Lib Dems are a force for unity.

My priorities for the local area are to ensure everyone has an affordable, decent home to live in and that everyone feels safe in the community, through tackling crime and ensuring Waltham Forest is welcome to all people regardless of their background.

I work for a homeless charity and am passionate about social justice. Some of my other interests are active travel and the environment. Outside of the serious stuff, I also enjoy being part of a samba drumming group.
